SI Invites You To Be In Cover Shoot At Boston Marathon Finish Line

BOSTON (CBS) - Sports Illustrated is extending an open invitation to Bostonians for a cover shoot to mark the one year anniversary of the marathon bombings.

SI says it will use a photo from the shoot as the cover of the April 16th issue.

The shoot is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 7 a.m. at the Boston Marathon finish line.

Mayor Marty Walsh and the city's first responders will participate.

Anyone who wants to attend is encouraged to wear some type of Boston gear.

A year ago, Sports Illustrated used the iconic image of three police officers and a runner who had been knocked to the ground.
