Londonderry, NH PD: Daytime Burglar Pulled Gun On Woman & Child

LONDONDERRY, NH (CBS)- A Derry, New Hampshire man is behind bars after allegedly breaking into a home in the middle of the day and pointing a gun at a woman and young child.

Police say Joshua Magee, 29, snuck into a home on Wilson Road around noon on Friday.

A young child in the house spotted him, began crying and ran, according to officials.

When the woman in the house went to see what was wrong, Magee, who was reported to be wearing a mask and plastic bags over his shoes allegedly pointed a gun at her and ordered both victims into a room.

He then proceeded to rummage through the house for a few minutes before taking off, police said.

A witness heard screams coming from the house and saw the suspect running from the house. That witness called police and was able to give officers a suspect and vehicle description.

Magee was pulled over in Derry a short time later. Officers say they recovered a loaded gun in the car.

He was arrested and charged with Burglary, Armed Robbery, Criminal Threatening with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Restraint.

The victims, while upset, were not physically injured.

He's being held on $50,000 cash bail until an April 7th court date.
