VIDEO: Final Salute To Firefighter Michael Kennedy

BOSTON (CBS) --- Boston firefighter and former Marine Michael Kennedy was given a final salute, Thursday morning.

Kennedy was killed in a 9-alarm Back Bay fire last  Wednesday. Kennedy's funeral comes a day after colleague Lt. Ed Walsh was laid to rest.

Thousands of firefighters traveled to Boston to attend the back-to-back services.

A fireman from Quebec drove all night to be in West Roxbury.

"If ever some day it happens to us, we'd want the same. That's why we're here," he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens.
