Former Leominster Youth Football Coach Charged With Sexual Assault Of Boy

LEOMINSTER (CBS) – A former youth football coach from Leominster has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a boy.

Police arrested Benjamin Brause, 36, at his home Leominster Friday night, the Worcester County District Attorney's office reported.

Brause coached youth football in Leominster from the 1990s to 2008 and in Lunenburg in 2009 and 2010.

Police in those communities want to talk to anyone who might have known Brause during that time. They are investigating whether there are more alleged victims.

Brause was charged with two counts of statutory rape and one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

He is being held on $100,000 bail.
