Wednesday's Child: 10-Year-Old Lisa Marie

BOSTON (CBS) -- Lisa Marie is a sweet, friendly, engaging and strong-willed 10-year-old Latina who is legally free for adoption. She is seeking a busy, active family in which she can try new things. Her current interests include watching movies and drawing, as well as playing with videogames and Barbies. She loves to sing along to music in the car and has hopes to someday audition for the Voice or American Idol. She has previously participated in after-school programs and did very well. She would benefit from engagement in additional community activities.

Lisa Marie is in the fifth grade where she does well academically and has an Individualized Education Plan that provides emotional supports. Overall, Lisa Marie is doing very well in her current foster home which includes three other older children.

Lisa Marie would do best in a family that has a structured home and predictable routine. Lisa Marie will need a family that can help support her progress in school by remaining in close contact with her teachers. Lisa Marie would do best in a home where she is the youngest child. Lisa Marie has four visits a year with her siblings and two of those will include her birth mother. It is important that this contact remains in place as Lisa Marie enjoys these visits. Lisa Marie loves being around animals and has requested that her adoptive family have either dogs or cats.
