Uxbridge Man Charged With Assaulting Child

UXBRIDGE (CBS) — A 62-year-old is under arrest, charged with indecent assault and battery on a child.

On Friday, Daniel T. Snay, 62, of Uxbridge, was arrested for indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 subsequent offense, reckless endangerment of a child, enticement of a child and dissemination of pornography to a minor.

Snay is currently registered as a Level 3 sex offender, according to the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry. Police say the alleged crimes continuously occurred over a four-year period in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Uxbridge Police say Snay was the recipient of a $10 million lottery award and that windfall aided the commission of the crimes.

Snay is currently being held without bail at Uxbridge Police Headquarters and will be arraigned Monday.
