No Bail For Man Accused Of Stalking Women In Quincy

QUINCY (CBS) – A man arrested for allegedly stalking two women at the Quincy Adams MBTA parking garage last week, will remain behind bars.

The suspect, 20-year-old Tyreke Mastin of Dorchester, was arrested Tuesday at Hynes Convention Center MBTA station.

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Wednesday in Quincy District Court on charges of attempting to commit a crime with carjacking and assault. A judge ordered Mastin held without bail.

Last Friday, a woman walking to her car reported that the man crouched down between parked vehicles and began to follow her by crawling from one vehicle to the next. When the woman got into her car, the suspect yelled at her to open the door and let him in. She was able to drive away safely. A second woman reported a man hiding behind a wall and following her. She was also able to exit the garage safely in her car.

Mastin is due back in court March 18, for a dangerousness hearing.
