Family, Friends Of Missing BU Grad Student Gather For Waterfront Vigil

BOSTON (CBS) – Dozens of friends and family of missing Boston University grad Eric Munsell gathered for a vigil in Boston.

"Where ever you are Eric, I will see you again. This is not where it ends. I'll carry you with me until I see you again," Eric's friend Allison Bitto said.

Candles were lit and a moment of silent was held for Munsell, who has been missing for three weeks.

"Unfortunately hopes are slim but all we can do now is pray for another miracle," Eric's dad Keith Munsell said.

Eric was celebrating his 24th birthday on Feb. 8 when he went missing. He and his friends were at Market Lounge on Broad Street, until he was kicked out around 11:30 p.m.

Keith Munsell said they gathered for a vigil for Eric at the waterfront near the New England Aquarium because it is the place where the young General Electric engineer was last seen.

"This is also very close to where he was last sighted on video and so unfortunately there is a reasonable chance he ended up in the water behind me," Keith said.

His family said they are overcome by the amount of support and love the community has provided.

"We love you Eric forever. We miss you and we hope you come back to us," Allison cried.
