Possible Mountain Lion Sighting In Winchester

WINCHESTER (CBS) - An animal that was believed to be mountain lion was spotted in Winchester earlier this week, police said.

A resident reported seeing a mountain lion on Tuesday in the Dunster Lane, Pepper Hill Drive neighborhood off of Ridge Street.

According to Winchester police, responding Massachusetts Environmental Police officers took photos of the animal's paw print for analysis.

Their initial belief was that the tracks looked like those of a mountain lion.

Officials are waiting to hear back from Mass Wildlife for verification.
