BOSTON (CBS) – Ring of Honor wrestler Mike Bennett joined James Stewart at the 98.5 The Sports Hub Studios to talk about his career as a pro wrestler, his weekend celebrating the Ring Of Honor 12 year anniversary, the pro sports scene in Boston and . . . his beef with Felger and Massarotti?

Bennett is a native of Massachusetts and he’s also a big fan of the show, except he can’t stand when the guys make fun on Jimmy for liking wrestling, so he had some choice words for the two Sports Hub hosts Monday morning.

“I’m a big fan of Felger & Mazz, so I listen and I hear them rag on you all the time about wrestling so I’m like ‘screw those guys!’ – seriously, screw them! I love the podcast to death but the fact that they say something about you because you’re a diehard wrestling fan, screw them! Wrestling is real.”

“They pride themselves on the fact that their show is about sports, but there is no bigger sport in the world than professional wrestling. It makes me laugh when they play the Hogan stuff and the Bully Ray stuff, but seriously Felger & Mazz screw you. And I mean that from the bottom of my heart,” said Bennett.

Other Hub hosts found their way onto the podcast as well.

Andy Gresh and Scott Zolak interrupted the interview multiple times to go into greater depth about Mike’s run in Ring of Honor. Gresh talked with him about his matches with Jay and Mark Briscoe over the weekend, plus his new finishing move.

Mike will be part of Top Rope Promotions & Westport High School presenting an evening of professional wrestling to benefit Westport High School on March 14th at 7:30pm.

Advanced tickets are available at Lees Market & Westport High School.
