The Celtics dropped their third straight game in LA against the Lakers to fall to the fifth-worst record in the NBA on Friday night. The C’s did so with their same pre-trade deadline roster of players after an uneventful deadline for Boston. “Celtics @ 7” host Adam Kaufman expressed his disappointment with the Celts’ lack of activity and felt there’s more Danny Ainge could have done to improve upon his team’s future draft position.
Jessica Camerato from Basketball Insiders joined the show to give her impressions of the deadline and the short and long-term future of the organization under Ainge and coach Brad Stevens. Camerato also discussed whether Ainge overvalues his players, whether fans should be satisfied by his moves earlier in the season, the development of Boston’s young forwards, Rajon Rondo’s perception around the league, and the how promising the 2014 Draft really is.
Kaufman wrapped up the show by questioning the Celtics’ best method to rebuild and which direction the team appears to be headed.
