Sheriff's Office: Man Accused Of Groping Arlington Teenager Has Died

BOSTON (CBS) - A man accused of groping a teenager who was walking home from school in Arlington has died.

According to a statement from the Middlesex Sheriff's Office, Patrick Barry, 21, was transferred to Middlesex House of Correction last Friday after his arraignment where he underwent a routine medical screening.

"Middlesex Sheriff's Office medical personnel determined that Mr. Barry required emergency care and he was transported to Lowell General Hospital. Mr. Barry was later transferred to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he passed away early this morning," the statement said.

It was not immediately clear how Barry died. The District Attorney's office said an autopsy is underway, but the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
