Abington Police: Accused Snow Plow Thief May Be Linked To 22 Heists

ABINGTON (CBS) - A suspected serial snow plow thief is under arrest and facing larceny charges.

Police say Phillip Bendell of Rockland may have stolen more than $100,000 worth of equipment from Abington and several surrounding communities.

Officers used video surveillance to link Bendell to the theft of at least three plows in Abington.

Each stolen plow was valued at more than $5,000.

Investigators say Bendell is the subject of an ongoing investigation involving the thefts of 22 snow plows.
