Student's 'Hit List' Found In Attleboro Elementary School

ATTLEBORO (CBS) - Police and school administrators in Attleboro are investigating the discovery of an apparent "hit list" written by an elementary school student.

A parent of a Hill-Roberts Elementary School fourth grader told the Sun Chronicle his daughter was sent home Monday when the list of students was found.

"I don't want her to go back to school if that kid is in there," the unnamed father told the paper.

Superintendent Kenneth Sheehan said the student who made the list has been identified.

In a statement to WBZ NewsRadio 1030, Sheehan said he's "confident that ALL of the students involved are safe" and that he will "continue to take the necessary steps to keep them safe."

Sheehan will meet with school staff and police Tuesday to discuss the note, which was found at the school by a substitute teacher.
