BOSTON (CBS) — The man accused of abusing a dog so badly, the dog had to be euthanized, is now facing additional charges.

Radoslaw Czerkawski was in court Tuesday facing larceny charges after police say he stole $130,000 in savings bonds from an elderly woman he was caring for.

Czerkawski pleaded not guilty. He remains held without bail on the animal cruelty charges.

Judge Connors ordered an additional $500,000 cash bail on the new charges. He’ll be back in court for the latest charges on March 5.
