MBTA Officer Dic Donohue To Host Red Cross Blood Drive

BOSTON (CBS) — He was nearly killed during a shootout with the alleged marathon bombers. Now, MBTA Officer Dic Donohue is asking for help.

Donohue will take part in a blood drive at the Red Cross Blood Donation Center in Dedham.

Donohue lost a massive amount of blood in last April’s gun battle in Watertown.

Anyone giving a pint of blood, will get a coupon for a pound of coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts.

The drive will be held Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the 180 Rustcraft Road, Dedham location. Or, you can call 1-800-Red-Cross to find a donation center near you.
