Pet Parade: Forever Home Rescue

BOSTON (CBS) --- Two special pups were on Pet Parade this week.

Dixie is a 10-month-old hound mix. Somewhere along the line she lost her eye. Forever Home Rescue isn't sure if she was born this way or if she received some sort of trauma. Other than that, she sees perfectly well, is calm with other dogs and is great with cats as well.

Jet  is a lover boy. He is a chocolate lab mix and is on the larger side. He loves to put his arms around you and give hugs for affection.

The staff at Forever Home Rescue is trying to train him not to hug but when you walk up to him that's all he wants to do.

Forever Home Rescue will have an open house on Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. at 106 Adam Street.
