Slick Roads Cause Dozens Of Car Crashes In NH

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — More than 5,000 homes and businesses are without power across southern and central New Hampshire and dozens of minor crashes have been reported as falling snow has made roads hazardous.

A winter weather warning is in effect until 9 p.m. in Rockingham and Strafford counties, and a winter weather advisory was posted for Belknap, Merrimack and southern Carroll counties until 9 p.m.

A dispatcher at the State Police Troop B barracks in Bedford said police responded to 40 to 50 crashes Saturday afternoon.

Police are urging people who are able to do so to put off travel until public works crews have a chance to clear the roads.
