Daily Talker: Banning Kids From Fancy Restaurants

A world-famous chef from Chicago has started a firestorm on Twitter after he asked a family to leave his restaurant, because their baby was crying.

Grant Achatz is the chef Alinea, one of the city's most upscale and expensive restaurants that is known world-wide. After he asked the parents who brought their 8-month old child to the restaurant to leave because the infant was crying, he went to Twitter.

"Diners mad. Tell people 'no kids?' subject diners to crying? Do people take infants to plays? Concerts? I hate saying 'no,' but..." Achatz tweeted.

Someone using the moniker "Alinea Baby" has responded to the chef with its own tweet: "I'm a baby who likes fine food, fine drinks, and crying."
