BOSTON (CBS) – This latest edition of Keefer Madness takes us to the land down under.

On last night’s Keefer Madness, we brought you a story about a man in Kentucky who escaped prison but turned himself in because of how cold it was.

As we know, it’s been a brutal winter as far as the cold goes with this polar vortex and all.

But while it’s winter here in the states, it’s summertime in the southern hemisphere.

There’s been a heat wave throughout Australia recently, and sadly 100,000 bats have perished – falling from the sky raining down their dead little bodies on all the blokes and sheilas.

Some Aussies have even woken up to thousands of bats just littered across their lawn, enough to make anyone go batty if you ask me.
