This morning’s “Celtics @ 7″ introduced fans to what expects to be a brutal January for the C’s. Host Adam Kaufman ran down the more difficult stretches for Boston, including a tough west coast road trip that begins this weekend. Kaufman expects the 13-20 Celts to still have fewer than 20 wins come the start of February. He also touched on Friday’s loss to the Pelicans and the team’s struggles in close games.

In the second segment, Kaufman was joined by the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn to look for optimism in the team’s recent failures, and look ahead to a trying January stretch. Washburn expanded upon the recent adversity facing head coach Brad Stevens with Jeff Green and Brandon Bass at odds during a defeat to the Hawks and Keith Bogans’ unhappiness with his playing time. The two also discussed the latest injury updates for Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger.

Kaufman wrapped up the show by offering his take on the situations involving Green, Bass, and Bogans. He’d like to see Bogans sit quietly, given his absurdly favorable contract.
