3 From NH Arrested In VT On Heroin Trafficking Charges

ROCKINGHAM, Vt. (AP) — Three people from New Hampshire and one from Connecticut have been arrested on heroin trafficking charges after Vermont State Police pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 91 in Rockingham.

Police say after searching the vehicle early Saturday morning, they found 200 bag of heroin weighing about 6 grams.

Authorities say they discovered that the occupants were travelling from Hartford, Conn., to Claremont, N.H. with the drugs.

Police arrested 21-year-old Misty Belanger, 20-year-old Kenneth Dulong and 21-year-old Torin Ruggeri, all of Claremont, N.H., and 25-year-old Ariel Pagan of Hartford, Conn. after the traffic stop around 1 a.m.

All four were being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail. It was not immediately known if they were being represented by lawyers.
