Mattapan Man Arrested After Alleged Attack At South Station

BOSTON (CBS) - A Mattapan man is facing charges for allegedly attacking a man with a box cutter at South Station.

Transit police officers say they were initially called to the McDonald's in South Station around 7:50 p.m. on Friday for a report of a man urinating in public.

When officers arrived, they found a man who said he had just been slashed with a box cutter.

The alleged victim had a slice mark on his jacket, but was uninjured. He was able to point out the suspect, identified as 43-year-old Ronald Bellerice.

Officers recovered a box cutter from Bellerice's pocket.

Another witness identified him as the man who had been urinating on the wall before the box cutter attack.

Bellerice is charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon.
