Bullet Prompts ‘Controlled Dismissal’ At Watertown High School

WATERTOWN (CBS) — A live bullet discovered Friday morning at Watertown High School classroom has prompted a “controlled dismissal” at the school and an extensive search of the facility as a precaution, the police said.

After the bullet was found, students were told to shelter in place, then officials decided to end classes early and release students in waves.

The police have launched a search effort to examine all rooms, lockers and bags to make sure there is no gun in the high school.

No further information is available at this time.
