Missing North Brookfield Toddler Found Safe In Conn.

BOSTON (CBS) – A North Brookfield toddler who went missing on Monday has been found safe in Connecticut.

State Police activated an Amber Alert for 21-month-old Thomas Woods Tuesday night, after he went missing with his father on Monday. Ryan Woods picked up his son in North Brookfield for a regularly scheduled visit but failed to return when the visit was set to end at 5 p.m.

State Police say Ryan Woods is in custody after he walked into a Milford, Connecticut hospital seeking help. The boy appears to be unharmed and is being reunited with his mother.

"During an interview with the mother, family members and friends the North Brookfield Police received information that Ryan Woods may be depressed," State Police said in a statement Tuesday morning. "Information was also provided to police that Ryan left the residence without any shoes or winter clothing for the child."

The boy was found less than an hour after State Police activated an Amber Alert Tuesday night.
