"One occupant, a 19-year-old Swampscott resident believed to be the driver, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital. Another, age 20 and also from Swampscott, was transported to Whidden Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries," Jake Wark, the spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney's office said in a statement.

No names have been released.

Police had originally reported that the driver had been killed and the passenger survived.

No one was in the home at the time of the accident.  A neighbor, Nancy Ramey, told WBZ-TV the house has been hit by a vehicle in the past.

It's not clear yet what caused the crash.

No other details are available at this point in the investigation.
