Sledding At Fenway? 'Monster Sled' Being Added To Frozen Fenway

BOSTON (CBS) -  Move over local hills and snow-covered golf courses. There's a new venue for sledders to fly down this winter.

The Green Monster will have some company in Fenway Park this winter, as Fenway Sports Management announced on Wednesday that the a 20-foot high sledding and tubing ramp will be in the outfield.

The "Monster Sled" will join this year's "Frozen Fenway" lineup, giving fans a very unique winter experience.

The sled is the first of its kind at Fenway Park and will sit in the shadow of the Monster. There are five different paths on the 75-foot run, ending at the Red Sox' bullpen.

The "Monster Sled" will be available for hourly rentals for groups of up to 100 people, and sleds and tubes will be provided free of charge. Fans cannot bring their own, so if you have some of Clark Griswold's famous kitchen lubricant, you'll have to try to fly elsewhere.

"Frozen Fenway" will run from December 28 through January 13, and in addition to the "Monster Sled" includes community skates, seven high school hockey games and nine men's and women's college hockey games.
