On today’s “Celtics @ 7”, host Adam Kaufman led off the show by asking if – given its current first-place stature – Boston should commit to winning this season and attempt to make a move in order to improve the team and make a run. He’s not pro-tanking, but also doesn’t hold the belief that any moves would be substantial enough to get beyond Miami or Indiana in the Eastern Conference Finals. Kaufman also remains in favor of keeping Rajon Rondo. Find out who else is on his “would not trade” list.
The second segment features the Boston Globe’s Baxter Holmes. The two discuss how Jordan Crawford should be used upon Rondo’s return in a few weeks, and also whether this Celtics team is currently better with top draft pick Kelly Olynyk out of the lineup.
Kaufman wraps up the show by looking ahead to Reunion Week. The Celts visit the Paul Pierce-less Nets on Tuesday in Brooklyn before hosting Doc Rivers’ return with the Clippers on Wednesday. Should Rivers be booed by the Garden faithful? Yes, according to Kaufman. It’s a four-game week with a pair of contests against the struggling Knicks as well.
