Keller @ Large: Local Turkeys Of The Year

BOSTON (CBS) – Jon Keller shares his list of the top local turkeys of the year, people who reminded him that not everything foul, comes with feathers.

While the Boston community rallied behind the marathon bombing victims, a few turkeys had other ideas, and tried to steal from the One Fund. One man claimed his aunt had been badly injured.

Another woman allegedly claimed herself as a victim, and was caught when she tried to buy a new house with her haul. What kind of turkey gets greedy when all around them are feeling compassion?

Comedian Dane Cook decided to bar live video of his performance at the big One Fund Boston concert last May. "I chose to just do the show," Cook told Larry King. "I said I'll just do the show for the people who are in the room."

One problem, it was a charity fundraiser, and no one else raised the same objection. Guess there's always one turkey in any crowd.

Other turkeys were those chanting "innocent" outside the courthouse where Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder, and they have every right to their opinion. But it was creepy to see people in court wearing Hernandez jerseys.

And it was downright dismaying to see the fools proclaiming their affection for accused marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and claiming the whole crime was faked.

Turkeys, running wild.
