FLORIDA, Mass. (CBS) – Six people are facing charges after State Troopers say they stole $38,000-worth of copper wire stolen from a wind turbine in Florida, Massachusetts.

Troopers say the suspects dug a tunnel under a security fence surrounding the Florida Mountain Windmill Farm Project in order to gain access.

State and Pittsfield police managed to track down the six suspects after they allegedly tried to sell the stolen cooper wire to local scrap metal yards.
