Troopers say no one was injured when the plane landed on I-295 in Falmouth shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. The plane taxied to the side, allowing traffic to continue moving. Police say traffic is slow moving southbound.
Troopers say the pilot reported having engine trouble and was trying to make it to Portland International Jetport before having to land on the highway.
A witness sent photos of the plane through Twitter to a reporter at CBS affiliate WGME-TV. It appeared to be parked in the median.
