Beagle Stolen From Methuen Adoption Center Returned

BOSTON (CBS) --- The beagle, stolen from the MSPCA-Nevins Farm adoption center, has been returned.

Tuesday, the MSPCA went public with photos of the suspects, captured on surveillance cameras around the time Sophie went missing on Saturday.

The MSPCA says the couple, who appeared to be in their 60s, were in the lobby before the man walked out the back door with the dog.

The MSPCA says this is the third dog stolen from Nevins Farm in the last year, though the other dogs were quickly returned.

Police tell WBZ-TV, they don't think the latest theft is connected to the others.

Charges have not yet been filed but police say the investigation is ongoing.

The MSPCA says Sophie is doing well and they are now focusing on finding the perfect forever home for her.
