BOSTON (CBS) - Everyone has an opinion of what transpired last night on Monday Night Football, in what was the most exciting game of the NFL season so far.

With 59 seconds left in the game and three timeouts, quarterback Tom Brady drove the Patriots down the field to the Carolina 18-yard line, down 27-23 with just four seconds left on the clock.

Brady received the snap in the pocket and keyed in on his favorite target in tight end Rob Gronkowski. The pass was short and intercepted in the end zone by Panthers safety Robert Lester as time expired.

A flag on the ground provided a little glimmer of hope as Gronkowski was absolutely mugged on the play by linebacker Luke Kuechly. Back judge Terrence Miles threw the flag, which was expected to be for either a hold or pass interference. That would have given the Patriots one last opportunity to punch in the go-ahead score.

Instead, the flag was picked up by head referee Clete Blakeman and no penalty was called.

Game over.

Everyone and their mother has an opinion of the call (believe me, just go on Twitter or listen to this radio station), but let's take a look at what current and former Patriots are saying about it...
