The board last week certified the voter signatures gathered by Mayor William Lantigua's campaign.

Lantigua lost the Nov. 5 election to City Councilor Daniel Rivera by 58 votes, with 15,210 ballots cast.

Meanwhile, the ballots remain sealed and under around-the-clock police guard.

Rivera has called on Lantigua to concede and is carrying on the transition process. Lantigua has questioned the integrity of the vote.
