SALEM (CBS) — A man is dead and a woman is seriously injured after a motorist struck them Saturday night on Marlboro Street, the police said.

Police have identified the deceased pedestrian as Jonathan Acosta of Lynn. The woman who was injured, Tanyia Mayorga of Lynn, was listed in critical condition Sunday at Massachusetts General Hospital.

The driver who struck Acosta and Mayorga is Steven Sack of Cambridge, according to police, who said a second vehicle also struck Acosta.

Police are investigating the crash and it is unclear whether charges will be filed.
