State Trooper Hurt In Hit And Run On Mass Pike

GRAFTON (CBS) - A Massachusetts State Trooper was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike early Wednesday morning.

State police say the trooper was outside his cruiser in a construction zone on the eastbound side in Grafton when he was struck just after midnight.

The trooper's cruiser was also clipped.  There some was some side damage and a broken mirror.

The driver took off.  There's still no description of the vehicle.

The trooper was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

There's no word on his condition.  His name has not been released.
