State Trooper Hurt In Grafton Hit-And-Run

GRAFTON, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts State Police trooper has been taken to a hospital after he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.

A department spokesman says the trooper was struck while outside his cruiser on the eastbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Grafton at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

He was taken to a Worcester hospital, but the extent of his injuries was not immediately disclosed.

No name was released.

The injury remains under investigation and no additional details were immediately available.
