BOSTON (CBS) – Those hot sports takes and wacky antics you hear every morning on 98.5 The Sports Hub aren’t going anywhere.
98.5 The Sports Hub announced multi-year contract extensions with Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb, the popular co-hosts of the “Toucher & Rich” morning show on the Sports Hub’s airwaves.
“Toucher & Rich have connected with Boston sports radio listeners over the last 4 plus years with their innovative, clever and funny content,” said Mark Hannon, Senior VP and Market Manager of CBS RADIO Boston. “They are two great guys who have done an amazing job of anchoring 98.5 The Sports Hub, and we are thrilled that they will continue to wake up Boston for years to come.”
“I’m very excited to be staying with the station,” Toucher said about the extension. “The Sports Hub has been a great success and it has been a thrill to be a part of it. Everyone at the station likes and respects each other from management on down, and I think our listeners can tell…and we thank them for tuning in.”
“I couldn’t be happier to continue working at 98.5 The Sports Hub and be able to be surrounded by some of the best people in the business,” said Shertenlieb. “Sports Hub’s management has believed in us from the start, and our team is among the best at what they do. But most of all, our listeners have proven that they are the most loyal I have ever seen in radio, and I raise a glass in their honor. Cheers!”
Toucher and Rich have been a top-rated, award-winning radio duo since 2006. They launched the powerhouse “Toucher and Rich” morning show on 98.5 The Sports Hub in 2009, and “Toucher and Rich” has been the #1 morning show with Men 25-54 for 14 straight monthly ratings periods.
The “Toucher and Rich” show, with Sports Hub Headlines from Jon Wallach, can be heard on-air at 98.5FM, online at www.cbsbostonsports.com, or via the Radio.com app for a variety of mobile devices weekdays from 6:00-10:00AM.
