Man, 2 Children Struck By Vehicle In Quincy

QUINCY, Mass. (AP) — Quincy police are investigating why a vehicle struck a man and his two children while they were crossing a local street.

The two children — a boy and a girl — suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after being struck on Quincy Avenue on Saturday night. They're being treated at Boston Children's Hospital. Their father was treated for less-serious injuries.

Police say the man and his children got off an MBTA bus and were trying to cross the street when they were struck at about 7:45 p.m. It's not clear if they were in a crosswalk.

The driver of the vehicle stopped after the accident and hasn't been charged, but police are looking into the circumstances.
