Daily Talker: COPSLIE License Plate

A New Hampshire man is now waiting for the state's high court to rule on whether he can get a personalized license plate that says "COPS LIE".

David Montenegro, who legally changed his name to "human", says the state is violating his freedom of speech rights when the Department of Motor Vehicles rejected his request on grounds that a reasonable person might find it offensive.

The New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union joined him during arguments before the state Supreme Court on Thursday.
