In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz looked at the Boston Red Sox off-season. The Sox will make qualifying offers to Jacoby Ellsbury, Mike Napoli, Stephen Drew, but not Jarrod Saltalmacchia. Which players will accept the offer? Which players will reject the offer?
Mike and Tony continue the hour by taking a look around at Week 9 in the NFL. Finally, the Boston Bruins welcome back some old friends to the Boston Garden. Tyler Seguin returns on Tuesday night with the Dallas Stars, Tim Thomas returns on Thursday night with the Florida Panthers, and Phil Kessel returns with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys take a look at the AFC playoff picture. The Pats are 3rd in the AFC with their 7-2 record. Mike and Tony got back into the Red Sox off-season and what they should do with their free agents. The San Fransisco 49ers have released Nnamdi Asomugha. Should the Patriots be interested in a player like Asomugha? To wrap up the hour, Felger and Mazz continue to poke a little fun at the Red Sox ownership group.
In the fourth and final hour, Felger and Mazz continued to discuss yesterday’s Patriots blowout win over the Steelers. The Pats are now 7-2 heading into their bye week. Also, how should the Red Sox handle the off-season with their free agents? The Boston Celtics had their home opener on Friday night, Rajon Rondo addressed the crowd before the game, and Felger and Mazz listen to his speech. Finally, it’s the Final Word with Marc Bertrand.
