A short time later, police evacuated the area, which included several television crews and media.

The back of the truck was opened and police went inside to search it.  It appeared to be filled with television equipment.

It's not clear yet what caused the scare.

No one was hurt.

The media and TV crews were allowed to return to their locations on Van Ness Street at 10:40 a.m.

Security has been heightened around the city not just for Game 6 of the World Series Wednesday night, but also because President Obama will be in town for an address at Faneuil Hall in the afternoon.
