Gresh & Zo: Should They Bring This Same Sox Team Back?

The World Series is far from over, but it's never too early to start thinking about the offseason. The Red Sox are faced with some tough decisions on who to bring back, which Gresh & Zo debated Tuesday.

"They compete, they have chemistry. This team blends. And watching it from afar, they love playing the game," said Zolak.

But in the same breath, Zo said you gotta prioritize who your core guys are. "You gotta be selective.  You don't keep the whole crew together. You can't do that."

In talking about core guys, Gresh & Zo don't believe Jacoby Ellsbury is one of them. With Scott Boras as his agent, it's pretty much a guarantee that he'll chase the top dollar when he hits free agency this offseason. This would open the possibility for Shane Victorino playing center field, who is under contract for 2 more years.

With his power from the right side and big game make up, both Gresh & Zo want Mike Napoli back for next season, but wonder if he was jaded by the way the Sox handled his contract last offseason. Gresh added that the biggest decisions the Sox have to make are on the aforementioned Napoli and Ellsbury, as well as Stephen Drew.

"I don't want Stephen Drew back," said Gresh. "But I think they're going to want to bring him to back."
