Somerville Bakery Raising Money For Collier Scholarship Fund

BOSTON (CBS) — A local bakery is honoring fallen officer Sean Collier this weekend.

One dollar from half moon cookies at Lyndell’s Bakery will go to the Somerville Police Auxiliary Department Sean Collier Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Collier, 27, was killed on the MIT campus April 18 during the search for the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

Investigators say the two men shot Collier to get his gun as they tried to make their escape.
