Patriots-Dolphins Week 8 Predictions

BOSTON (CBS) - The WBZ-TV, 98.5 The Sports Hub and WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Sports teams make their prediction for Sunday's Patriots-Dolphins tilt at Gillette.

Scott Zolak, 98.5 The Sports Hub

The key to this one is Stevan Ridley. The offensive line did not play well last week, and I think a lot of that is that they went away from the rushing game. They only ran the ball 20 times against the Jets; I'm looking for them to rush the ball about 35 times against Miami with a mix of guys. But I think Ridley is the key, especially at getting the play-action going.

Usually after a performance like last week, Tom Brady has a big bounce-back game the following week. I see the Patriots rolling over the Dolphins on Sunday.

It's the Dolphins, they are what they are. They're not good enough to come in here and get a win, even against a depleted bunch.

It hasn't been easy for these Patriots, but they should get a win on Sunday.

New England is just a better team than Miami, especially at home.

So I have to admit, the last couple of weeks I have been way off with picks. When I think the Pats are going to win, they don't, and when I feel they are going to lose, they don't.

But this week, I am on it. This is LEVAN'S LOCK OF THE WEEK.

The Patriots are coming off a loss and they are playing at home.  It's also the first home game back for Rob Gronkowski. This is where the team should start to make some hay, and they can do it against a division foe.

The Dolphins always seem to give the Pats some trouble but most of that is done when the Pats play them in Miami.  Here in New England, the Patriots always seem to be in control and I expect that to happen on Sunday.

Throw the numbers out the window.  It's the Pats in this game because they are just the better team and they have much more pride to play for.
