Search Underway For Owner Of Kayak Found Adrift Off Nahant

BOSTON (CBS) — A search is underway for the owner of a kayak found adrift off Nahant.

Rescue crews from the Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod and Station Point Allerton started searching around 8 a.m. Monday after the green and gray inflatable kayak was found with no one inside.

The Massachusetts Environmental Police and Nahant Police Department are searching the shoreline.

Anyone who recognizes the kayak or has information is urged to call the 1st District Command Center at 617-223-8555.
