MBTA Releases Video Of Woman Falling Into Red Line Pit
CAMBRIDGE (CBS) - The MBTA has released video of a woman falling into the pit at Downtown Crossing Station this week.
The woman, a 29-year-old from Lynn, was walking on the southbound Red Line platform Tuesday morning around 9:45 a.m., when she fell off the edge.
MBTA officials say the Red Line service was halted as soon as they became aware of the incident.
The video shows several bystanders helping pull the woman out of the pit.
The MBTA says the woman was taken to Mass. General Hospital for further evaluation.
Her injuries were not believed to be serious.
