Phantom Gourmet: Burtons Grill

BOSTON (CBS) --- Thick steaks and the freshest seafood... Juicy Burgers and ice cold beer... Creative salads and inventive cocktails... It's the kind of food that promises to thrill... and you can find it at Burtons Grill.

With five Massachusetts locations, and five more along the East Coast, Burtons Grill specializes in serving the fresh quality foods you love, in a dining room that's always welcoming.

"The atmosphere at Burtons is a relaxed comfortable, but yet it still has a polished feel to it. So it's not overstuffy. I feel that you can come in for any occasion whether you want a quick lunch, or whether you want to have a special occasion in the evening, I feel that we can cater to all of those needs."

Denise Baron Herrera is Burtons' Vice President of Operations and Executive Chef... And she develops and oversees everything coming out of the kitchen.

"I love to cook because it's a release for me. It's very relaxing to me to work with food, to look at food. It's something that I've been doing for twenty plus years, and I've always enjoyed it."

Appetizers include shareable snacks like hand wrapped Philly Spring Rolls, stuffed with diced sirloin, onions, and melted cheese... While entrees feature everything from a twelve ounce Ribeye... to seared sea scallops over a creamy shrimp and corn risotto... to a pair of center cut pork chops topped with roasted red peppers and cheese gratin. But out of everything on the menu, it's a burger that Denise is most likely to order.

"The B Maxx Burger is my favorite menu item because it's just so good, I don't know how to explain it. It's a burger, and then you have crispy crunchiness of the onion straws that are on it, and I'm a really big pickle fan, so the bottom bun is layered with pickles, and it has a special sauce on it. So I really enjoy it, it's my go to meal which probably isn't very good for you, but I really enjoy it."
