Mass. State Police Seize 143 Lbs. Of Marijuana During Sturbridge Traffic Stop

STURBRIDGE (CBS) - Two men are facing drug trafficking charges after State Troopers say they seized a huge shipment of marijuana on Friday during a traffic stop.

Around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, a Trooper pulled over a grey Lexus on I-84 in Sturbridge for a motor vehicle violation.

A K-9 unit was called in after the Trooper spoke with the two men in the car.

A search of the car turned up 143 pounds of marijuana, State Police reported.

The driver, Yonghui Liang, and passenger, Zichao Bu, both 19, and both of New York City, were arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Both are being held on $5,000 bail until their scheduled arraignments at Dudley District Court on Monday.
