Bomb Scare Temporarily Shuts Down Block Of Boylston Street In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - Part of Boylston Street was shut down for a short period of time on Tuesday morning following a bomb scare.
An abandoned bag was found on the sidewalk underneath a mailbox between Arlington and Berkeley Streets around 9 a.m.
Bomb techs were called in, and the package was removed. Police determined the object did not pose any danger.
The roadway was re-opened a short time later.
Boylston Street was the site of the twin blasts on Marathon Monday that killed three people and injured more than 200 people.
