BOSTON (CBS) – Part of Boylston Street was shut down for a short period of time on Tuesday morning following a bomb scare.

An abandoned bag was found on the sidewalk underneath a mailbox between Arlington and Berkeley Streets around 9 a.m.

Bomb techs were called in, and the package was removed. Police determined the object did not pose any danger.

The roadway was re-opened a short time later.
